About Us

Community Social Development (CSD) plays a crucial role as a core element within the City of Chestermere’s Community Services Department. Operating as one of the three integral sub-divisions, the program works collaboratively to enhance social bonds and address the needs of our vibrant community through three key areas: Social Planning, Community Connections and Grants. Funding is provided through both the Provincial/Municipal Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) partnership as well as through direct municipal funding. This area seeks to enhance and support large scale social development and reinforce the social fabric of the community. Through various offerings that provide opportunities for collaboration between organizations, individuals and families.
