Notice of Public Hearing – Bylaw 003-24
Proposed Amendment to the Municipal Development Plan (MDP)
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000, and amendments thereto, the Council of the City of Chestermere is considering Bylaw 003-24. A public hearing will be held on TUESDAY, February 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. during a regular meeting of Council for the below-proposed bylaw.
The Public Hearings is scheduled during a regular meeting of Council, visit our Council Meetings page where links to watch the live stream will be posted on the day of the meeting.
Written submissions may be submitted by emailing publichearing@chestermere.ca with your name, address, phone number, the bylaw number you are speaking to and whether you are in favour or opposed or by completing the feedback option by visiting the Public Notices page. Requests for verbal representation must be made by Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. The City will accept written submissions until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024.
Bylaw 003-24 proposes an amendment to the Municipal Development Plan to increase the 35% cap on “planned lot development” from the MDP Section 3.4.4. Planning New Communities to 50%. The proposed amendments would only impact all developing and future communities as illustrated below.
