The Community Service Award, presented by the City of Chestermere’s Community Services Department, recognizes individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to the well-being and vibrancy of the community. It celebrates acts of volunteerism, leadership, and dedication that positively impact residents and foster a spirit of connection and inclusion. This award honors those who go above and beyond to make Chestermere a better place to live for everyone.
To be eligible for the Community Service Award, nominees should meet the following criteria:
General Eligibility:
-Must be a resident of Chestermere or have contributed significantly to the local community.
– Can be an individual, group, or organization.
Service Contribution:
– Demonstrated commitment to improving the lives of others in the community.
– Provided consistent and meaningful service over time (minimum of 6 months recommended).
– Shown initiative, leadership, or innovation in addressing community needs.
Community Impact:
– Made a measurable or visible positive impact on individuals, groups, or the City as a whole.
– Inspired others to get involved or created lasting change.
– Work aligns with City of Chestermere values and civic responsibility.
Timeframe:
– Nominations are open from September 24 and close October 31, 2025. Nominations made after this date will not be considered.
Supporting Evidence:
– Nominations should include a brief description of the nominee’s service and its impact.
– Optional: letters of support, photos, or media coverage to strengthen the nomination.
