Chestermere Lake offers fantastic fishing opportunities. To keep our lake healthy and ensure everyone can enjoy this great resource, it’s important to understand fishing regulations.
Here a quick guide based on Alberta’s regulations:
- Chestermere Lake is open for fishing from May 8th to March 15th. Mark your calendars and please fish responsibly.
- Size limits and measurements apply! Click here to see the online guide.
- A valid Alberta fishing license is ALWAYS required unless:
- You have a Certificate of Status
- Are below the age of 16
- Are over the age of 65
- Be aware of and adhere to all bait restrictions.
Regulations are subject to change, so if you’re heading out fishing, it’s always a good idea to consult the full Alberta Fishing Regulations booklet for the most up to date details. Click here to see the Alberta Sportfishing Regulations Guide.
