The City of Calgary announced that they will be undertaking urgent short-term repairs on the Bearspaw South feeder main beginning August 26. This essential work is crucial for maintaining the stability of the water supply and reducing the risk of system failures, especially with winter approaching. The repairs will address 16 identified weak points in the system.
Stage 4 water restrictions will be re-implemented during the shutdown of the Bearspaw South feeder main from August 26 to September 23 to facilitate the repairs. Until then, residents of Chestermere can continue with the current stage one restrictions.
