Kofi Poku for Mayor of Chestermere
Common-Sense Leadership. Accountability You Can Trust.
Chestermere is growing fast, and families are feeling the strain. Taxes keep climbing, traffic is getting worse, and basic services aren’t keeping up. It’s time for leadership that puts residents first, restores accountability, and makes sure our city grows the right way.
With over 20 years in Chestermere, Kofi Poku understands what matters to local families: low taxes, safe neighborhoods, reliable infrastructure, and a strong sense of community. His professional background in the energy industry construction and business has prepared him to make tough decisions with discipline, fairness, and common sense.
Why I’m Running
“For too long, Chestermere families have paid more and received less. I am running for mayor to stop wasteful spending, protect taxpayer dollars, and ensure growth is supported by the infrastructure our community needs. My vision is straightforward: keep Chestermere affordable, safe, and a city where families and businesses can thrive.”
Kofi’s Priorities for Chestermere
1. Fiscal Responsibility
Stop wasteful spending and cut unnecessary projects.
Protect taxpayer dollars and keep taxes low.
Require developers to fund infrastructure so residents aren’t left paying the bill.
2. Safe and Family-Focused Community
Support our first responders and expand peace officer resources.
Invest in safe roads, reliable utilities, and facilities families can depend on.
Strengthen community programs that build character and opportunity for youth.
Provide better facilities and services for seniors.
3. Infrastructure That Keeps Up With Growth
Widen key roads to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.
Ensure schools, recreation, and essential services keep pace with development.
Build smarter, not bigger — growth must serve residents, not burden them.
4. Accountable, Transparent Government
Every tax dollar should be tracked, every budget made public, every decision clear.
End backroom deals and restore trust in City Hall.
Lead with common sense and ensure residents’ voices are heard in every decision.
A Proven Record of Service
For over two decades, Kofi has served Chestermere through local boards, youth programs, and fundraising initiatives. He has supported the Library Foundation, the Youth Soccer Board, and led efforts for causes such as youth empowerment, homelessness, and women’s shelters. His professional background in energy and construction has given him practical problem-solving skills and real-world experience managing complex projects and budgets.
A Stronger Future for Chestermere
Kofi Poku offers the steady, reliable leadership Chestermere needs right now:
Accountable to taxpayers.
Supportive of families and seniors.
Tough on waste and committed to smart growth.
A leader who will listen, act, and deliver results.

Brady Uhrich
Brady.uhrich@shaw.ca
Dear Residents of Chestermere,
My name is Brady Uhrich, and I am running for Councillor in the upcoming election. I am semi-retired and bring with me a wealth of experience in business development, as well as the time and commitment needed to serve our community. One thing I want to make clear — I am not a career politician. I am a resident, just like you, who cares deeply about the future of Chestermere.
Over the past 18 months, the City has made meaningful progress. The goal is to build on this momentum while bringing fresh eyes and practical solutions to the challenges ahead.
Some of the key priorities I feel strongly about include:
· Stable and sustainable economic growth that creates opportunities for businesses and residents alike.
· Infrastructure that meets our growing needs and remains resilient for years to come.
· Safety and social issues, ensuring Chestermere remains a safe, supportive, and connected community.
· Healthcare and essential services, where capacity must keep up with demand.
· Amenities and quality of life, so our city continues to be a place we are proud to call home.
One of the most important issues we face is our tax base. Right now, too much of the burden falls on homeowners. We need to diversify by encouraging light industries and commercial growth in Chestermere’s outlying areas. This will not only create new local jobs but also expand our commercial tax base, reducing the strain on residents.
Chestermere is a wonderful city with enormous potential. With your support, I will work hard to ensure our community continues to grow responsibly, sustainably, and with the needs of residents at the forefront.
Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to listening to your ideas and working together for the future of Chestermere.
Sincerely,
Brady Uhrich

Ed Cojocaru
info@VoteEd.ca
403-680-6600
Hello Chestermere,
Our city has learned the hard way: flashy talk fades, but post-election action is what truly matters. As you review candidates for City Council, you’ll see familiar visions — ambitious plans, big projects, promises of unseen progress. Too often, these aren’t grounded in reality — the pressures on families and businesses, municipal budgets, or global uncertainties. It’s easy to promise the world, but at what cost? How will this growth impact your pockets?
I’m Ed Cojocaru, running as an independent candidate for Chestermere City Council in 2025 because our city deserves more than empty promises.. My approach is simple: transparency, honesty, and responsibility. I aim to make our city safer, smarter, and stronger by focusing on what matters — better infrastructure and services, public safety, a thriving local economy, and an inclusive community. These are only a few priorities. For the full vision and to share your own, visit VoteEd.ca — because real leadership listens before it acts.
I bring a results-driven mindset shaped by a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and decades of experience in Media, Marketing, and Technology — delivering practical solutions across the EU and North America. I’ve seen what it takes to turn ideas into reality, and I’ll apply that same discipline and accountability to the City Council here in Chestermere. Growth is necessary, but it must match our city’s financial and social realities. Empty promises don’t serve our community — they risk leaving Chestermere and your family budgets exposed. I advocate for measured, responsible decisions that safeguard resources while advancing the city meaningfully.
Having lived here for over a decade with my Canadian-Filipina wife and two children, I’ve seen our city grow — the good and the challenging. My Christian faith guides me to serve with honesty, compassion, and respect. Through ChestermereTimes.com, I’ve provided independent election coverage, giving residents clear, accessible information without bias. I know the value of informed decision-making and accountability.
This campaign is about listening, understanding, and turning your priorities into real action. Chestermere deserves leadership that balances ambition with reality, ideas with implementation, and promises with responsibility. I’ll gather your direct feedback and ensure it’s reflected in Council decisions.
My campaign isn’t about me — it’s about you, your needs, and your vision for Chestermere. I’ll be out in the community every day, having real conversations where they matter most. If you see me, say hi — let’s talk openly and respectfully. I’m here to listen and to understand, not just during the campaign, but beyond it. If I’m elected, my responsibility is to take what you share with me and carry it to Council — making sure your priorities become real action for our city.
No social media hype. No partisan spins. Forget the rumours and the chatter — the only official, direct source for Ed Cojocaru’s campaign is VoteEd.ca. There, you can stay informed and share your ideas or feedback anytime, 24/7. This campaign is ours. ONLY TOGETHER, we can shape a future for Chestermere that truly reflects what matters to YOU.

• Advancing the Dawson recreation project with a priority on delivering a much-needed pool for local families.
• Securing construction funding for a new K – 9 public school, a new K-9 Catholic school, design funding for a new public high school, and the opening of a Franco Sud School in the fall.
As Chair for the Mayor’s Task Force for Recreation, Murray has worked with council and administration to secure over 160 acres of prime recreational land providing Chestermere the opportunity to control its own recreational destiny. He is also Vice-Chair of the Grant Adjudication Committee, Vice-Chair for the Seniors Advisory Committee, Chair of the Chestermere Economic Development Advisory Committee and a proud Inaugural member of the Chestermere Historic Municipal Advisory Committee

Honest, eligible candidate, willing to serve the community for the community. We need honest people who are willing to be the eyes and ears of the community for the community-
Thought out planning and infrastructure is at the utmost for this community and having another grocery store isn’t what is needed, however it will benefit the foodbank, as the foodbank and other charities do need council support as they are all struggling.
