On May 27, Council took a bold step toward securing the future of recreation in Chestermere by voting to proceed with a conditional Offer to Purchase the Lakeside Greens Golf Course, including both land and operations.
This decision reflects Council’s 2024–2029 Strategic Plan and demonstrates our commitment to preserving green space, enhancing recreation opportunities, and providing long-term certainty around this valued community asset.
The agreements are conditional. Our legal team is now completing the due diligence process, and a comprehensive business plan is being developed to guide future operations. If the conditions are met and the sale is finalized, all details will be released publicly in line with our commitment to transparency.
This is just the beginning. Council is planning a series of strategic investments in recreation that will support quality of life and community wellness for years to come.
