The City of Chestermere has received notice from the Western Irrigation District of their intention to restore water levels in the Chestermere Lake to regular operating levels.
River flows, precipitation and a reduction in water demand have provided a positive water outlook, allowing the WID to restore water levels to full operating levels. This will be achieved no later than September 12 and will be maintained until September 30.
This timeframe should provide sufficient time for residents who wish to remove their property from the lake. Please take the necessary steps to ensure any property on the lake is removed and properly winterized prior to September 30.
