Beacon Data Centres has presented their plans to Chestermere City Council, outlining their intention to establish a state-of-the-art AI data centre hub within the Chestermere city limits. Beacon currently operates as a digital infrastructure company, aiming to deliver AI data centre solutions.
Beacon takes a rigorous, research-driven approach to identify the most suitable locations for AI digital infrastructure development. The company has conducted extensive engagement with energy stakeholders, recognizing energy as the primary driver for such infrastructure. Chestermere has been identified as a location that provides the power quality and resilience necessary to facilitate large-scale AI Hub development.
The proposed Chestermere Enterprise AI Hub represents a transformative opportunity for the city. At a glance, the project anticipates:
- Over $4 billion in investment in Chestermere
- More than 1,200 construction jobs.
- Over 300 operational jobs.
