Alternating Single Lane Closures – June 9th to June 20th
Volker Stevin is planning to remobilize to the Rainbow Road Bridge site, starting Wednesday, June 4th, and ending on Friday, June 27th, to complete the deficiency items identified during the CCC inspection.
Intermittent and alternating single-lane closures across the bridge will be required, starting on Monday, June 9th and ending on Friday, June 20th, to safely complete all work on both the east and west sides of the bridge.
Traffic Impact and Work Schedule

June 9th to June 20th: All work requiring intermittent and alternating single-lane closure across the bridge will be prioritized and completed during this time window. This includes:
- Final abutment paint touch-ups to address any surface inconsistencies and ensure a uniform protective coating.
- Class Finish on both lanes, barrier repair including concrete work
- Manhole Adjustments and Pedestrian Handrail Repairs
- Any other tasks that require direct access to the bridge structure or areas adjacent to live traffic lanes.
Work Hours
Daily work will occur between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, subject to adjustment based on traffic volumes and site conditions.
