Work on the Rainbow Road Expansion Project is progressing! The City is anticipating construction to wrap up at the end of November, with the contractor to return in 2024 to complete landscaping and asphalt work.
The contractor has successfully paved the base lift of asphalt for the east side of the Merganser Drive traffic circle. Concrete curbs have also been poured on top of the asphalt for the east side of the Merganser Drive traffic circle. Work on the centre circle curbs and truck apron have also been completed.
The focus for the upcoming week includes paving a lift of asphalt on the east side of the traffic circle, extending it to the existing North Bound lanes. Paint lines will also be applied from Merganser to Waterford Blvd,
Dawson Way is set to reopen next week as well, The contractor will conduct a final check before officially reopening this intersection to the public.
