The City of Chestermere has received an application from a private developer for a Land Use Bylaw amendment and Outline Plan for proposed development called Eastville. The applications are currently under review by administration and have not been approved.
All applications of this kind follow a legislated process under the Municipal Government Act (MGA). This includes technical review, and a formal decision by City Council which includes a Public Hearing.
Where the Application Is Now:
· The application is being reviewed by City departments and external agencies.
· The application has not yet been presented to Council for approval.
· If the file moves forward, Council will consider 1st Reading and may set a Public Hearing date, where residents will have the opportunity to speak directly to Council.
· No decision can be made by Council until after the Public Hearing takes place.
