- Identifies and protects land for future school sites
- Coordinates with school boards during neighbourhood and area planning
- Advocates for community needs
School Boards
- Determine school programming, grades served, and capacity
- Submit funding requests to the Province
Government of Alberta
- Reviews and approves school capital funding
- Funds and authorizes new school construction
