Winter Activities
As the temperatures rise, it’s time to bid farewell to our beloved ice rinks for the season!
While the lake ice thaws and the sun work its magic, we’d like to share a simple reminder to stay off the ice, both on the lake, as well as the storm ponds across the community. Warmer weather can weaken the ice, putting safety at risk. Please talk to your children about the importance of ice safety!
Ice Depths
Each winter once there has been a significant and extended period of cold weather, the City will measure and post current ice thickness around the lake, and recreational use of the City’s maintained ice rinks can begin for the winter season.
This information is provided as a courtesy by the City.
Please check the ice thickness before you go and note that you use the lake at your own risk.
