Join us for an unforgettable day of music, food, and fun at the Summer Music Festival!
When: Friday, August 9, starting at 1:00 PM
Where: John Peake Park
Enjoy live performances and entertainment all afternoon and evening, plus a vibrant Kids Zone, a bustling market, a refreshing beer garden (sponsored by Township 24), and more. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets, relax by the lake, and savor delicious eats from local restaurants and food trucks.

Calgary’s Greg Vardy Band delivers high-energy classic rock with a country twist. Featuring Greg Vardy, Alida Schedel, David Bentley, and Darren Barton, their passion for music and lively performances get every crowd moving.
2:00 PM – Brandon Lorenzo Band (Country)
Airdrie’s Brandon Lorenzo is a powerhouse country vocalist with over 200 shows under his belt. Winner of multiple Nashville awards, he’s shared stages with Brett Kissel and Randy Houser, captivating audiences with his soulful sound and infectious energy.
3:30 PM – Selena in YYC (Latin)
Gabriela-Anaité, Alberta’s original Selena Tribute Artist, brings Latin flair and heartfelt vocals to the stage. A proud Guatemalan-Canadian, she’s transformed from solo busker to festival favorite, celebrating her roots through vibrant music and performance.
4:45 PM – JG n’ the District (80s Rock)
For over a decade, JG n’ The District has been Calgary’s go-to party band. Their infectious mix of funk, pop, reggae, and soul from the ’70s to today keeps dance floors packed and spirits high.
6:00 PM – Lauren Mayell (Country Solo)
Award-winning country-soul artist Lauren Mayell is known for her powerhouse vocals and raw, empowering songs. She’s toured with Kane Brown, opened for Brett Kissel, and brings grit, heart, and high energy to every performance.
7:30 PM – Jared Daniel (R&B Solo)
Calgary R&B artist Jared Daniel blends deep grooves with soul-searching lyrics. With performances at JUNOfest and NXNE, and a debut album produced by BENJII (Giveon, Coco Jones), Jared is a rising voice in Canadian R&B.
9:00 PM – Sparrow Blue (Bluegrass)
Sparrow Blue fuses classic rock roots with their own “Real Thick Rock & Roll” sound. Hailing from St. Albert, AB, they’ve toured Canada, opened for The Lazys, and now hit the road on their 2025 North American Tour. Their latest album No Lies, No Tricks was recorded in their home studio, The Blue Room.
