City Council has officially adopted their 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, setting a clear direction for how the City will grow, serve residents, and invest in the community over the next four years.
The plan builds on the foundation established in Chestermere’s 2024 Strategic Plan and reflects the priorities Council heard from residents, partners, and Administration during an extensive planning process.
A Vision for Chestermere
At the heart of the plan is a vision of Chestermere as a Vibrant Lake Community: Thriving, Connected, and Welcoming. A city that balances economic growth with sustainability, fosters meaningful connections among residents, and ensures everyone feels a true sense of belonging.
The City’s mission is equally clear: to be The Leader in Municipal Services, Recreation, and Community Connections.
The plan focuses on:
- Strong, accountable leadership
- Infrastructure and beautification that keeps pace with growth
- A diverse local economy where people can live AND work
- Recreation, social connection, and support for all residents
