Join us for the Lead by Example Powwow on July 8 at John Peake Park.
Created in memory of Kristian Kakato’si Ayoungman, a young leader, athlete and champion dancer from Siksika Nation, Lead by Example has grown into a regional contest powwow that welcomes competitors, performers and visitors from across Alberta and beyond.
The event features traditional dancing, drumming, storytelling, cultural demonstrations, craft vendors and food trucks. The Grand Entry begins at 1 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend and experience a day of culture, tradition and community.
