Until further notice, the City of Chestermere has made the decision to close Rainbow Road North to through traffic at Windermere Drive, starting July 31st.
Originally open only to local traffic, this road was built to rural specification and as a result, has deteriorated significantly due to the increase of traffic travelling on the road. City administration is diligently developing plans to address the road condition and will continue collaborating with City Council to identify cost-effective solutions for improving Rainbow Road north.
