The City of Chestermere thanks residents for participating in the 2025 Municipal Election, held on October 20. Unofficial results indicate that Mayor-Elect Shannon Dean and all incumbent councillors have been re-elected. Official results will be declared on Friday, October 24, 2025, at noon.
Mayor-Elect Shannon Dean said, “I want to sincerely thank the residents of Chestermere for taking part in this election and for the confidence you’ve placed in this Council. Serving this community is a privilege, and our commitment remains to represent you with integrity, collaboration, and respect.
As we begin this new term, Council will continue focusing on delivering quality services, supporting thoughtful growth, and fostering a strong sense of community pride. Chestermere’s success has always been built on the dedication of its people, and together we’ll keep moving forward.”
Chief Administrative Officer Kent Edney added, “On behalf of administration, I extend congratulations to Mayor-Elect Dean and the returning members of Council, and appreciation to all candidates who put their names forward in service to the community.
