A Reminder to Drive Safely
Recently, a driver was stopped after travelling 137 km/h in a clearly marked 80 km/h zone.
During the traffic stop, it was also determined the vehicle registration had been expired for nearly two years, and the driver did not have valid motor vehicle insurance.
The situation resulted in charges, a vehicle seizure under the Traffic Safety Act, and upcoming court appearances.
This serves as an important reminder for all drivers. Speed limits are in place to protect everyone on the road, and keeping your registration and insurance up to date is essential for safe and responsible driving.
These efforts reflect the ongoing work of our Community Peace Officers to support a safe community.
