Notice of Public Hearing – Bylaw #005-25
Proposed Transfer of Land
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 70 of the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, Chapter M-26, and amendments thereto, the Council of the City of Chestermere in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider a transfer of land from the City to Pollyco (Chestermere) Land Corporation from the parcels legally described as:
ALL THAT PORTION OF WATERBURY ROAD WITHIN THE S.W. ¼ SEC.4, TWP.24, RGE.28, W.4TH M. CONTAINING 0.299 HA (0.74 AC) MORE OR LESS AND DESCRIBED AS ‘AREA A’, AS HIGHLIGHTED IN SCHEDULE A.
THE PURPOSE of the Land Transfer is to address the ownership of a remanent parcel ‘Area
A’ as highlighted in Schedule A, that would be created through Road Closure Bylaw #005-25. ‘Area A’ is proposed to be designated as Low-Rise Multi Unit Residential (R-4) and would restore alignment to the Waterford Estates SW Outline Plan.
AND THE FURTHER PURPOSE is to comply with the Municipal Government Act and Land Titles Act that require any disposal of land as registered in the City of Chestermere to be advertised prior to allowing the land to be subdivided, sold, or transferred.
THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT Council will be considering the proposed xxx transfer of land and will be discussed on TUESDAY, April 1, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. during a Special Meeting of Council for the purposed transfer of land.
A copy of the proposed Road Closure Site Plan documentation may be inspected at the City of Chestermere municipal office during normal business hours.
