
Celebrate Canada’s 159th birthday with a full day of unforgettable experiences for all ages. Hosted by the City of Chestermere, this annual event brings the community together with entertainment, food, and festivities from morning to night.
What to Expect
Kick off your day with a pancake breakfast, then spend the afternoon exploring a vibrant mix of activities and attractions including:
- Carnival games and kids’ activities
- Face painting, balloon artists, and glitter tattoos
- Petting zoo and wagon rides
- Live music and stage performances all day
- Artisan vendor market
- Food trucks and free treats, including birthday cake and pizza
- Evening beer gardens (18+)
The night wraps up with a spectacular fireworks show over the lake at 10:45 PM, offering a perfect end to a day of celebration.

Free shuttle service runs every 30 minutes from:

Young Bhangra Club is one of Calgary’s leading dance institutes, dedicated to celebrating and promoting the vibrant folk traditions of Punjab. With an impressive record of achievements across North America, its dancers have earned numerous awards in Bhangra and Gidha competitions, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and cultural pride.

With more than 40 years of experience entertaining audiences, Jody the Magician specializes in family-friendly comedy magic. His interactive performances combine laughter, audience participation, and astonishing illusions that delight children and adults alike. Following his stage show, Jody continues the fun throughout the grounds with close-up magic featuring cards, coins, ropes, and other surprises.

Dorienne Proulx is an Anishinaabe/Cree Métis artist, dancer, and entrepreneur dedicated to fostering creativity, connection, and cultural understanding. Through her business, Little Star Artistry, she uses art and fashion as tools for storytelling and community building, inspiring others through Indigenous culture and creativity.

JAIDEN RILEY & THE CRYBABIES
Jaiden Riley is an Alberta Métis singer-songwriter whose old-world country sound draws inspiration from legends like Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, and Dolly Parton. Her music blends heartfelt storytelling with traditional country roots, moving from tender ballads to lively honky-tonk tunes, often featuring her signature yodel. Backed by The Crybabies, Riley delivers a dynamic mix of country, folk, and bluegrass. She was named the 2025 Ranchman’s Country 105 Rising Star and will perform on the main stage at Country Thunder Alberta in 2026.

Chestermere-based band The Blenders have been entertaining audiences throughout the Calgary region for more than eight years. Featuring Jim Llewellyn, Nicky Rejante, Naomi Holmes, and Blair Supple, the group performs an energetic mix of classic favourites and contemporary hits, earning a reputation as a local favourite at community events and live music venues.

JG n’ The District is a Calgary-based event and party band that has been keeping dance floors packed across Southern Alberta for more than a decade. Known for their exciting live performances, the band delivers a mix of recognizable hits spanning 70s funk, reggae, new wave, 90s soul and R&B, and today’s chart-topping favourites. Comprised of five experienced musicians, JG n’ The District combines infectious grooves, compelling vocals, tight harmonies, and high-energy stage presence to create memorable performances for audiences of all ages.

Founded in Alberta in 1990, Cream and Sugar Band has spent more than three decades entertaining audiences with an eclectic mix of dance music, classic hits, country, blues, jazz, and contemporary favourites. Led by founder Joy Velasco, the band continues to perform throughout Western Canada with a talented lineup of musicians known for their versatility, strong musicianship, and ability to fill the dance floor at every event.
