Chestermere RCMP marks National Police Week, May 10–16
Chestermere, Alta.— During National Police Week, observed May 10–16, Chestermere RCMP recognizes the dedication and service of police officers and support staff who work every day to help keep communities safe. The week also provides an opportunity to highlight the important role policing plays in building strong, connected communities.
Throughout the year, Chestermere RCMP members are engaged in a wide range of activities that go beyond enforcement, including community outreach, crime prevention initiatives, and partnerships with local organizations. These efforts are aimed at addressing community priorities while fostering positive relationships with residents of all ages.
Locally, Chestermere RCMP continues to focus on proactive policing strategies, including property crime & neighbourhood safety, traffic safety and road enforcement along with visibility community policing presence. These initiatives are strengthened through partnerships with municipal agencies, community groups, and volunteers.
National Police Week also recognizes the contributions of the many individuals who support policing operations, including dispatchers, administrative staff, and community partners, all of whom play an essential role in maintaining public safety.
