The Western Irrigation District (WID) will begin lowering water levels in Chestermere Lake on October 13 as part of its annual preparations for the winter season.
WID’s annual water season runs from May 1 to September 30. Following the end of the season, Chestermere Lake is lowered to its winter operating level.
Residents are advised to remove all boats and personal property from the lake before water levels decrease.
