The City of Chestermere Fire Department is excited to once again offer youth the opportunity to experience the exciting world of firefighting and emergency services through our annual Fire Camp program. This free hands-on program is designed for youth ages 15 to 18 who are interested in learning new skills, building confidence, and exploring a potential career in emergency services.
Ember Firecamp – This groundbreaking camp is designed exclusively for young women who are passionate about fire or emergency services. Hosted by our very own dedicated team of firefighters, this camp will provide a fun blend of education and hands-on-training led by our department’s own Hailey Bessette & Rebekah Voisin. Hailey and Rebekah will give campers the unique opportunity to step into the boots of a firefighter and give firsthand insight into the exhilarating world of fire service.
Explorer Firecamp – Explorer Fire Camp provides young men with an exciting opportunity to learn about firefighting through hands-on training and realistic emergency response scenarios. Participants will work alongside firefighters while developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
