Following an update presented in the January 21, 2025, Governance & Priority Committee, the City of Chestermere is pleased to release further details concerning the Dawson School Site.
- In September 2024, reports were presented by Administration on the High School Lands and the Recreation Site Lands.
- An additional update was provided in November 2024 indicating the execution of the dedication agreement as well as the completion of the final sign-off. Click here to review the November update.
With the approval of the 2025 Capital Budget, funding has now been allocated to meet level 1 site readiness requirements, including the installation of utilities and roadway.
The subdivision application has been submitted to the Land Titles Office. This is the final step of having the title transferred to the City. This process will enable the City to move towards commencing construction on the roadway (a level 1 requirement)
Administration continues to work with Rocky View Schools to review and ensure site readiness conditions are met and that the project remains a priority.
