Following an update that was presented to City Council during the November 26th Governance & Priorities Meeting, the City of Chestermere is publishing an update concerning the High School Site situated in Chelsea and Dawson’s Landing:
- The MSR dedication agreement has now been executed.
- Subdivision endorsement is expected shortly and will be provided to the Survey Company to accompany the application to Alberta Land Titles.
- Now that the City has the landowner’s final sign-off, the 30-day internal and external circulation can commence.
- Administration is committed to submitting the necessary documentation to Land Titles early in the new year, in alignment with the project timelines.
- Site work requirements include approximately 800 meters of roadway and 200 meters of sanitary line to meet the province’s requirements for Site Readiness. These infrastructure requirements have been included in the 2025 Capital Budget to ensure the sire is fully prepared, which is subject to Council approval.
